How can I change data types dynamically?

Hello, is there a way to dynamically change the data types for a data source based on the field types from another data source? Like using the output from field info tool?

Thanks,

Karina

Hi,

The CReW Macro "Dynamic Metadata" supports exactly what you are looking for.

If you configure it to take Metadata from Source Input Rows it will convert each field's type and size based on the Source data (say, from a Field Info tool).  This does a match on field names, so you will want to make sure these are identical beforehand.

@Claje I don't understand the first part of your solution

If you configure it to take Metadata from Source Input Rows

What is "it" that needs configuring?
