Hi Alteryx Community,
Attached is a workflow to determine how many totes (boxes) are required to store 30 items of different weights and dimensions. The constraints are the inner cubic volume and maximum weight a box can hold, and the items are in a pre-defined sequence.
Based on the calculation, a total of 8 boxes will be required. However, there will be opportunities to 'squeeze in' small / light item(s) down the list to reduce the number of boxes from 8 to say 7 or 6.
I have looked into examples using Predictive Grouping, Prescriptive Optimization but couldn't find one that suits this scenario...
Looking for some better ideas from the community.
Than you
Hi Alteryx Community, still no luck in getting any support or assistance. Is there anything that I can clarify further ? Thanks
