Hello Alteryx Users!
I have been having trouble with a project today- I have been trying to create a workflow that will generate 99 different output files (excel) based on a single excel template. I want the formatting, formulas, and data to all be identical on all of them except for 3 cells, which I would like to be populated with corresponding data from 3 separate columns on the data source excel file. There is a total of 99 rows in the data source file (excluding headers), hence, the 99 output files.
Please let me know if anyone has any solutions or assistance to offer.
Thank you!
Best,
Ben

What progress have you made so far?
You're going to want a batch macro.
Create a batch macro that reads in each of your lines of data one at a time and then uses the blob tools to copy your template and create your outputs after which you output to the range you want in the output files for each row.
1. input 99 rows of data
2. read data into batch macro
inside batch macro
1.copy template excel and save to final destination with name convention.
2.output the current batch/row to the destination file using a range and preserve formatting turned on in your output.
I hope this makes sense.
