Good morning, community!
I came across the formula "FinancePV" (FinancePV(Rate, NumPayments, PaymentAmount, FutureValue, PayAtPeriodBegin)) for calculating the present value of an investment. Has anyone used it before as a substitute for Excel's PV formula?
I'm not finding many examples or documentation specifically about its use in Alteryx, so if anyone can shed more light on the topic, I'd really appreciate it.
P.S.: Google says that PayAtPeriodBegin can be "1 if payments occur at the beginning of the period, 0 if at the end." Can anyone confirm if that's accurate?
Cheers 😊

By running a quick little experiment in both Alteryx and Excel, I can confirm that the functions match and the 0vs1 also aligns. See below illustration:
If this is what you're after, I do believe you are safe to proceed! Hope that helps, -Jay
