How to find catchments from a Line Spatial object ??

Hey @E_Sinha_home, the best way to do this would be to add a buffer (‘Buffer’ tool) to your line. Say you wanted to know everything within a mile of the line, you would just add a 1 mile buffer.

 

Once you have this buffered line (which acts as your catchment area), you can then use a spatial match tool, with your second data set. Make the larger of the two (in this case it’ll be your catchment area which is now a polygon) the Target and then plug the points into the Universe input and change the dropdown to ‘where Target contains Universe’ - this will show you all of the points within that area when ran.

Hey

Any clue why we have these red-circled lines in the buffer area? I need to get rid of them and need a smooth catchment
