Fill down or fill up column MACRO

New to Alteryx and macros.

Looking to build a macro that will be able to choose the following in the user interface:

1. Select columns in a table

2. Fill up for fill down

3. Output method: replace the column or create a new column

Will someone guide me along on how i can achieve this? Have not been successful with batch macros or iterative macros. I assume this macro might include both.

Can you include sample data of what you have as an input and sample of what you want as an output? You might be able to solve this with a Multi Row Formula Tool.

Thanks! I have updated the post, would like to use this as a general macro for other inputs as well. Will need a user interface to select criteria.
