Excel Named Range importing string data as number

Hello, I've named a range in Excel where the data is strings (text) however when I import it into Alteryx it comes in as numbers. I can't figure out what the numbers mean (not the length of the strings, I checked).

Does anyone have any ideas?

@danilang  thanks. Here's a screenshot of the output from Alteryx. The numbers in the column ($ in million) are actually words in the Excel (for example Brand 1, Brand 2, Brand 3, etc)
