Endif error

I keep getting error message after using the endif function at the end of this code. Please what can I do about it?

Else cannot have a condition specified. 

Ending lines would be

Else "6"
endif

or

Elseif [item]="Payroll Registration" then "6"
else null()
endif

I changed it elseif and had another parse error
