Email Tool Special Characters Issue

Hi All,

I am selecting Body from the layout field in the Email Tool. However, special characters like '! ' being added in the mail body. No special characters being observed in the source field.

Can you check if this already appears after the Layout tool using a browse tool? 

And can you please share parts of the text where this happens? E-Mail and Data Input (in Browse tool) otherwise its hard to help.

No Special characters before email tool. It is getting generated in mail tool.

The issue is only in email output tool, the data that flows to email tool is correct. However, the output has special character “! “ in between at any random location.

Is it a bug in alteryx version?

It has to do with your smtp server, not Alteryx. The link above should help you work with your IT team to resolve.

Will it work if we adjust SMTP settings of the user who is running the workflow or all the users who are receiving the mail should also do?

My understanding is that this is a result of a smtp setting outside of Alteryx, not a matter of a configuration change within an Alteryx tool. The IT resource in your company may need to look at the line limit settings within the smtp server.
