I wanted to ask advice, which tools better to use in such case:
I have data that contain information about sales of product company and how this product were moving in the market between all participants. Data has following fields: Product name, Brand, The Supplier, Recipient, Date and Batch number. This data allows to trace which way product proceeded before was sold to the end customer.
But the problem is, how to build source data and determine steps of Supply Chain of each resale? Because in one moment company can become Recipient, the next it`s Supplier.
I`ve been thinking about to make data such way, that during data processing alteryx would determine on which step every client is on:
For example, My company Sold product to Distributor (n1) - Step 1.
Distributor (n1) sold to another distributor(n2) - Step 2
Secondary distributor(n2) sold to another company (n3) - Step 3 and etc
Since there can be many links in the supply chain the current number of Step should by calculated correspondingly.
