Bug in Report Text Tool?

Dear Community,

I have built a workflow containg a Report Text Tool which is supposed to display 2 variables ([CC] and [RP]).

With version 2022.1 everything worked fine, but after I upgraded to version 2023.2.1.7 I observed a strange behavior. When I leave the Report Text Tool and then re-enter it, the text has changed in the way indicated in the screenshot below. 

Has anybody of you experienced the same issue or knows more about this strange behavior? Is this a bug in Alteryx Designer?

Correction - this is a bug in 2023.X in Designer. but yes. this is a bug.
