Amazon Redshift Connection Error - using Connect In-DB tool

Everything was going smooth, until today, when I recently got this error

SQLDriverConnect: [Amazon] [Amazon Redshift] (10) Error occured while trying to connect: [SQLState 08S01] could not connect to server: Connection time out (0x0000274/10060) Is the server running on host "hostname" and accepting TCP/IP Connections on Port 123?

I've updated username/password, but it wasn't a login issue.

Is this an error on the Redshift front? If so, does anyone know how to solve? There was no change to host/port.

Thanks!

Is it possible that configuration changes were made on the security group of Redshift, maybe regarding external connections?

Do you have a VPN? Is it active? I see this message alot when I'm not connected to my VPN. Also - check your odbc connection to redshift (via test) if that is working and alteryx isn't - it's an alteryx config issue. If redshift isn't connecting via odbc 64 - it's a redshift set up era.

@alisonl282 Were you able to solve this? Facing the same error while connecting to Redshift

@Het_3 --- this message most often appears when your Redshift is hosted in a VPN you are not conncted to - or dont have a connection to. Can you confirm that you can connect via Test in your ODBC 64 set up? If not --- set that up first - and set up Alteryx after.
