Alteryx sum

Hi All,

While performing a [COLUMN_A] - [COLUMN_B] SUM the values seems to be incorrect for larger amounts, namely:

PERIOD_NET_DR PERIOD_NET_CRSUM
7.712.206.171.008.697,217.712.206.170.080.746,54927.950

The SUM should be

       927.950,67

Does anyone know the reason for this incorrect value and how to fix it, if possible?

Hi @mhoogstraten

Can't help with a fix as such but I can direct you to this post which discussed similar:

https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Subtraction-precision-between-two-floa...

It discusses the limitations with using Fixed Decimals in formulas where they are being converted to doubles, and has a helpful link within about why it's happening.
