Alteryx designer on AWS EC2 instance hosting

Can Alteryx designer be hosted on AWS instance? We don't have a server license but we have an alteryx ec2 instance running. Since, the alteryx server is an expensive option, How can we use the scheduler with alteryx without a server on an ec2 instance?

Licensing does not allow for scheduler to be virtualized without a Server license

@BrandonBwhat would be your take on Designer (non-scheduler of course - since we can't even buy Scheduler anymore) - on an EC2. Standalone license for persistent EC2 instance - two end-users with standalone desktop licenses uploading workflows. All workflows triggered locally (not through script/RPA).

Use case would be to allow (InfoSec)  various cloud platform storage integrations (waiting on the IAM integration which is overdue) and because workflows runs huge data sets (10+gb in datastream out) and we'd like scalable memory for the machine running workflows.  Also - data is in a totally different region than endusers so this would bridge any latency.

An EC2 instance shouldn't be an issue provided that you aren't violating the EULA (Scheduling not possible with Designer and a VM and script/RPA use would violate EULA). Every individual developing in Designer will need to be licensed as you mentioned, but getting the memory scalability makes sense given the use case. Send me a private message if you need help connecting with the Account Executive who manages the Alteryx relationship with your company. Alteryx Server may make sense depending on what you are looking to accomplish, but to your point on the data size, workflow development may be best suited to EC2 rather than a local laptop.
