Action Update Value Replace a specific string does not work for Query Input Data

I am trying to simply globally replace a date string in a query using textbox input and action tool. 

I have tried several variations. Below is a picture of the workflow.

Is there a way to do this?

Hello @jsadove Please select the value from the configuration window. Based on your current screenshot, I cannot see if you have selected the exact value from the query that you have written.

I have given you a sample here for text input, but logic will remain same for DB connection.

You need to select from which section the data to be replace is.

I naturally would like to complain about lest that intuitive UI design, but I won't thoroughly  embarrass myself :-)
