Account mapping & List box Interface tool

I have a table of accounts for multiple companies and need to assign the description to my data by ARE.

Once the data has been assigned an Account type, how do I create an interface with a list box to select which account types AND the periods I want my workflow to run for?

Just to clarify a few things:

How do I know that the ARE 4413 is the WC_ST account type? This have any bussiness rule?

Because you can simply transpose the Account listing by ARE  and then join the the databases
