Welcome to the Maveryx Community!

At Alteryx, we’re extremely passionate about empowering people to deliver deeper insights quickly with intuitive workflows. We created this space as a one-stop shop for all things Alteryx, as well as a peer-to-peer support channel for those people to come together, gain valuable insights from their peers, collaborate, and innovate around Alteryx products.

While our community was designed with Alteryx users in mind, we welcome everyone with an interest in data blending, advanced analytics and sharing insights.

The following community guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of the Alteryx Community. Don’t forget that your use of this community is subject to these guidelines, our Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.

1. Be respectful.

Our community members have diverse roles, industries and levels of expertise, but all deserve to feel comfortable here. Respect people's time and attention by asking well-thought-out questions and sharing what you've learned so far in your experimentation or prior research. Offer honest help, keep your tone positive, your comments constructive and be patient with others (some of us are not as technical as others!).

2. Be relevant.

Make sure your contributions are relevant to the mission of the community, to the specific discussion style and topic where you post. Please do not post duplicate messages in different areas of the community to avoid fragmenting discussion. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation.

3. Appreciate others.

Show your gratitude to those who have helped or inspired you. If you find a contribution helpful, please give it a like or accept it as a solution to your problem. Likes & solutions will help boost the value of contributions, making them easier for others to discover and enhance the reputation of their authors.

4. Keep your word.

Don't post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.

5. Protect privacy - yours and others'.

Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Share your business email address if you wish, but don't post personal information-your own or anyone else's-including contact information or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent.

6. Remember, this is user-generated content.

You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.

7. No Wheelin’ & Dealin’

By all means, if it’s relevant to the conversation, share information about products and services you love. But please don’t use the Alteryx Community to prospect or advertise. Our moderators will put the kibosh on that. If you have something you want members to join, participate in, or buy, ask us first.

8. Moderator Rights

Alteryx reserves the right of its moderators to edit, move, block or remove discussions, signatures or images that they consider inappropriate or disturbing to our community. We may also ban any member at our sole discretion. We will always communicate with you via private messages to provide coaching or inform you of a decision. We ask that you do the same if you need to comment on a moderation action as to not disrupt the rest of the community. Don’t hesitate to send us a private message.

The Alteryx Logo and Alteryx Associates

You will notice that some community members have an Alteryx logo next to their names  - this means they are Alteryx Associates. Like you, they are members of the community around Alteryx products, and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.

Feedback & Ideas

We want this to be the best community it can possibly be - so let us know what you think, or how we can help improve your experience on the Alteryx Community by leaving your thoughts in the Community Lounge or share your ideas here: Improve the Community Experience.

We know you have tons of ideas for improving Alteryx products; be sure to visit our Product Idea exchanges located in designated Alteryx product areas to submit new feature enhancement requests, or support existing ones. Don't forget to review our idea submission guidelines before posting!
