Alterys Auto Insights works best with structured data that includes at least a few key measures - it's especially useful for exploring rich dimensions and using transactional or time series data to examine patterns and trends.
What are some of the things AAI can help me answer?
Alteryx Auto Insights isn't a predictive modeling or forecasting software - it's built specifically to help solve problems for business users. Basically, if you have the need to make an impact in a specific area of your business, AAI can help remove some of the guesswork in creating change.
What are the various roles and terms I need to know to understand?
Alteryx Auto Insights, while being built for business users to interface with information, still requires the power of analysts to keep everything running. Organization Administrators have the keys to the kingdom and can give the appropriate permissions to other users. Administrators also have the ability to create and share datasets and missions in Alteryx Auto Insights. Other roles include Viewers and Guests, who have access to view shared datasets and create missions, but cannot create their own datasets and have limited access to some other features.
What is a Mission anyway?
Missions are one of the core components of Alteryx Auto Insights - they provide the ability to consolidate all the personalized insights you want to see, auto-refresh to sync with every data refresh and subscribe business users to receive direct-to-inbox insights.... all in a few clicks!
This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it's a great place to get some general questions answered. If you want to know something more specific - ask us in the forum! It's the perfect place to get your questions answered and provides the opportunity to get more in-depth with context. And chances are, if you have a question, someone else probably does as well, so it helps other users too!
