For the Output Tool it would be very beneficial to be able to pass a password in order to populate a password protected Excel spreadsheet. It appears there is a decent amount of interest based on the Community feedback pertaining to the subject.
Hello all, DuckDB is a new project of embeddable database by the team behind MonetDB. From what I understand, it's like a SQLite database but for analytics (columnar-vectorized query execution engine on a single file). And of course it's open-source and free. More info on their website : https://duckdb.org/ Best regards,…
Hello, There are several dozens of data sources... maybe it would be useful to have a search in it? Best regards, Simon
I know it sounds trivial, but I hate having to do the extra click to get the browse tool to pop out. Just upgraded from 2020.2 to 2021.3. Before, you could pop out a browse window in 2 clicks: Now you need 3 clicks: Like I said, I know it sounds trivial, but when you do this dozens of times a day, it adds up to a big…
Problem: In large Alteryx workflows, renaming a column using a Select tool (or similar) causes downstream tools like Formula, Filter, Join, Sort, etc., to break or throw errors if they reference the old column name. This means every time a column is renamed, I have to manually go through every tool that used the old name…
Pretty simple one here - I would like to have an option in the UI to clear all Input Data caches or even a right click/properties option to clear an individual Input Data cache. Often when developing, I use the Cache Input Data option to speed up development iterations. However, if I modify the source data during the…
Hello all, OLEDB is usually way faster than ODBC so that the way to connect we promote. However, the new DCM only works for ODBC connection, which is quite strange. Best regards, Simon
Using the Output tool to send data to a formatted spreadsheet apparently doesn't preserve formatting if the entire column is formatted. I'd love this changed to keep the formatting when its applied to an entire column. See this thread in Designer Discussions.
Alteryx has the ability to connect to data sources using fat clients and ODBC but not JDBC. If the ability to use JDBC could be added to the product it could remove the need to install fat clients.
The Text Input tool and Macro Input tool with text input determine the output data type based on the input data by best guess. This works in many cases, but also frequently results in incorrect data. This might be fixed with a subsequent Select tool in many cases but not always, e.g., if "1.00" is first converted to…
