SharePoint List Tool 2.7.5 and 2.7.3 throws a 'Failed to update the Person records.'

Hey everyone!  My company has been in touch with the Alteryx team, but I'm curious if anyone else has run into this issue with the latest versions of the SharePoint Input Tools.

My account recently upgraded to 2025.1 and the handful of workflows that uses this tool fail to run, but if we run the 2.5.0 version on 2021.4, they work just fine.  I can connect to the SharePoint lists just fine in the beginning, but once it needs to pick up the 'Person records' (my guess is 'Modified By' or 'Created By') it fails, then breaks the Union tools.

What are we doing wrong here?  The SharePoint lists themselves haven't changed and our level of access is the same.  Appreciate any direction/help 🙂.

When I checked the Alteryx Marketplace SharePoint Tools, I noticed that v2.7.6 was released on December 17th, which might solve your problem, although I was not able to find release notes for the most recent version.

Additionally, in the page Microsoft SharePoint there is a newer version (v3.0.0), which is currently only available by invitation, so I am guessing it is not in General Availability phase yet.

In this case, you have four options:

1. Install the most recent version generally available (v2.7.6) and see if it solves your problem.

2. Install the most recent version available by invitation (v3.0.0).

3. Revert to the old version of Alteryx Designer (2021.4) and install the properly working connector for that version.

4. Install both versions of Alteryx Designer side-by-side (one Admin, another Non-Admin) and run the SharePoint flows from the older installation (either directly or by using Alteryx Runner installed by pointing to the older engine).

One important thing to look out for is that if you do a side-by-side installation, either install the SharePoint connector for only the older version of Alteryx Designer or be careful to avoid any potential conflicts that might be caused by installing the connectors for both versions of Alteryx Designer (although I cannot say if installing connectors for both versions will create any conflicts, as I never had a use case requiring me to install connectors for both versions).
