Bad Tableau Project publish to tableau tool

has anyone tried the publish to tableau tool with Tableau 10.5?  my workflow worked fine until we upgraded tableau to 10.5.  I know tableau did something different with Projects where they had subprojects that annoyed a bunch of people.  i wonder if that has something to do with it.
