Auto-populate options using a text box UI tool and a drop-down UI tool

Hello,

I wanted to know if it was possible to create a situation where you can type into a text box UI tool which then populates the possible options from a drop-down UI tool. I was working on it with a colleague and couldn't quite get it to work, also tried to find other examples in Alteryx community and didn't quite see exactly this scenario discussed.

Any clues?

As @SPetrie points out - you would use a chained app. As an alternative you could use a Tree solution - but this is more complicated to set up.

I dont know if I have dealt with that exact scenario, but populating one UI with information from another will require a chained app.
