Hi,
Is it common to experience a big difference in run time between running an SQL query via Alteryx In DB and SSMS?
That Alteryx is taking much longer to execute it.
Thanks!

Hi @Tjabo
There shouldn't be a huge difference between the two, there may well be some.
What driver are you using in Alteryx to connect to SQL?
Thanks for your quick answer JoeS.
ODBC Data Sources (64-bit)
Is this an answer to your question?

When you create an ODBC connection, you get the option to chose a driver.
If you go through these stages:
Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
Step 4:
What options do you see in Step 4?
If you do have a native one, I'd recommend choosing that.
Hi @JoeS,
Thanks for your reply.
And sorry for the delayed response.
I did as you described.
However, once I test the connection I get the error that Windows logins are not supported in this version of SQL Server.
Do you think this is correct error or have I done something wrong?
And what other options do I have?
Br,
Max
Hi Max,
That looks like it's a setting within your SQL server.
Do you have a DBA or IT person you can work with to get access to the server? (Unfortunately there could be a fair few different options to go through that may take some back and forth on here)
