Great challenge! Looking at how others have approached it I think I brought in extra tools because I didn't consider that we can join on position and instead generated ranks to join on. Nevertheless a great lesson and something I will remember for next time.

Completed! As others commented, I missed the "make sure each person gets 1 of the top 5 teams" so I had to fix that

My solution attached.

Use R for the randomization since I am not familiar with macros. Need to review other solutions to understand how Alteryx macros work.

easy with the logic that the recordid can also match the team rank
