SUBMIT YOUR IDEANear-Earth Objects (NEO) are rocks in space that come within a certain distance of the Earth. These objects are tracked to determine if they have the potential to impact the Earth.
The dataset for this challenge includes the 1000 nearest objects discovered to date. The numeric fields for distance and size are in units of km and the velocity is in units of km/s.
For this challenge:
- Parse out the year from the "name" field and then find out which year has the most discoveries?
- Find out in what years hazardous objects were discovered?
- Find out what year had the the highest average of "relative_ velocity" of all objects found?
Datasets
Two datasets are available for this challenge; one dataset to parse and one already parsed for our new users.
In both datasets, the "name" field represents the year the object was discovered.
