@Watermark - to add a label to a layer on the map, first go to the Data tab of the Report Map tool and select the incoming connection that has your participants. Make sure that the participant name is selected in the Label Field drop-down.

Now, if you flip over to the Layers tab, go to your participants points layer, and you should see a Label option where you can configure the label text, position, etc.

Okay, this was fun but difficult to find all the Configurations in the map tool 😄
Kind of happy to use quite few tools at least to get the result.
