Professional skills and responsibilities for this level include the following:

 

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data visualization requirements.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights using Power Query and DAX.
  • Optimize data models and queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in Power BI reports.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Power BI enhancements/releases.
  • Provide training and support to end-users for report consumption.
  • Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of your comfort zone.
  • Focus on building trusted relationships with our clients and your colleagues.
  • Lead trainings and coach others within the team as well as providing data education to the broader practice.

 

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Well organized and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Strong proficiency in Power Query and DAX.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in developing and implementing analytical solutions (predictive & descriptive)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data integration tools is a plus.
  • Power BI certification is a plus.

Additional characteristics of the ideal candidate would also include:

 

  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work with minimal direction or supervision.
  • Certifications/proven experience in Alteryx.
  • Experience in a financial planning and analysis environment.
  • Willing to learn continuously, stretch your thinking, share your knowledge, and educate others.
