This position is within the US Group Benefits CFO organization in the Financial Management Group, specifically supporting the Local Market Finance team in evaluating experience across US Regional Business’s six regions and 24 sales offices. It reports to the VP responsible for Small Markets and Local Market Strategy and will Local partner across the multi-functional Local Market team including Sales, Strategy, Underwriting and Finance. The role has direct accountability for data management and integrity, metrics reporting and analytics at the regional and office level and identification and implementation of process efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly local market metrics reporting and analysis process including ensuring data integrity at the product, segment, office and regional level.

  • local market metrics reporting and analysis process to meet the evolving needs of US Regional Business.

  • Partner with Local Market Finance Leads to analyze local market experience across six regions and 24 offices.

  • Collaborate with US Group Finance Data Management and Analytics and Data Science teams to ensure alignment on metrics definitions, reporting content and process re-engineering.

  • Identify and implement process improvements, as needed.

  • Assist Regional Business Financial Planning & Analysis team in developing the annual sales and PFO plans by office and region, including underlying drivers (e.g., quotes, close ratios, persistency, etc.)

  • Provide support on various ad-hoc financial analyses.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 4+ years relevant work experience.

  • Process and control oriented; aptitude to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Experience extracting/manipulating data from databases (e.g., Access, Financial DataBase).

  • Advanced proficiency with Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Alteryx, Power BI, Qlikview a plus.

  • Aptitude for detail.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to articulate complex ideas and summarize effectively.

  • Group Benefits business knowledge. Experience translating business partner requirements into analytical results.

The wage range for New York for applicants for this position is $84500 to $112600. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
