Hi all,
Please could someone help with below query.
The datasource (below) includes same staff working across various team in different periods. I am running a report where i only want the end date to be the most updated and other information should align to data during the current period. For example, the below table, as of today 10/02/2022, the final report should be George A - XXX company- 125 - Marketing - 30/04/2021 - 31/10/2022. is there a way to do this?
Name | Vendor | PO number | Department | Start Date | End Date |
George A | XXX company | 123 | HR | 13/01/2021 | 30/04/2021 |
George A | XXX company | 126 | IT | 15/02/2022 | 31/10/2022 |
George A | XXX company | 125 | Marketing | 30/04/2021 | 15/02/2022 |
BBBC | yyy | 554 | IT | 30/01/2021 | 01/11/2022 |
DD | ZZZ | 746 | IT | 10/01/2021 | 01/11/2021 |
Report:
Name | Vendor | PO number | Department | Start Date | End Date |
George A | XXX company | 125 | Marketing | 30/04/2021 | 31/10/2022 |
thanks
Claire
Solved! Go to Solution.
So as per my understanding First Priority is "End Date" and what columns or Fields to be prioritize next in your report?
thank you! The end date should be the most recent date. however other data just need to match whatever is in the current periods. Say for the above consultant George, he has three records across three periods. iN my report, i want to show the most recent end date, and everything else should extract the data from the current period (30/04/2021 to 15/02/2022)
Report:
Name | Vendor | PO number | Department | Start Date | End Date |
George A | XXX company | 125 | Marketing | 30/04/2021 | 31/10/2022 |
Vendor, PO, Department, Start Data is taken from his third record, and end date is from his second record.
thanks binuacs!! this is really helpful
