I'm quite a visual learner, who was struggling to grasp the concept of transposing in alteryx, given the options to select key columns and data columns.
To try and better my understanding, I took a small table where I've marked the grid with xy values, and then output the results of various configurations. If anyone finds this useful, or has any suggestions on improving it, please let me know
Hi @NotKaiser! I'm also a visual learner and find the embedded examples for Transpose (and cross tab) really helpful.
Not sure if you've used them before but just in case you haven't found them you can click on the transpose tool and then select open example. This will give you more information about the tool and how it works!
I'm glad you pointed this out Alex. I had seen the transpose example a while back, and wanted to expand on it with some use cases.
Your mention about cross tab prompted me to look at that example. I'd been struggling with crosstab more, and the example has helped generate clarity for me. Thanks :)
