Hi All,

 

I am trying to form of Group ID based on similar records of a field below ECM_Party_ID. Just because it has "Nulls" in between it is forming a new group ID. I want my result to be in below format.

 

I have attached the formula, pls help me achieve the below output. Thanks in Advance.

Hey @Sarath27,

Here is one way to get round this. You can filter off the NULL rows and re-join after the formula and finally sort to get the initial ordering:

Not sure why your New_Group_ID starts at 7?

Would something like this not work? Basically use an initial Multi-Row Formula to fill in the blanks and then assign the progressive ID, before removing the temporary 'filler' field to arrive at the desired format:
