My icons right now look like the attached picture. Please can someone tell me how I can change this so that the type and the icon change to the correct icon as shown on the other screen shot.

To change the file type icons for YXDB, YXMC, YXWG, YXMD, etc. in Windows, you can use a free utility called FileTypesMan.

https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/customize-icon-windows/

Here are the steps to follow:

Download and run FileTypesMan.

Press Ctrl + F to locate the file type you want to change.

Double-click it in the list to open a new window with many more options.

Next to the Default Icon field, you’ll see an ellipsis button.

Click on it and select the icon file you want to use.

Click OK to save your changes.

If you are looking for the Alteryx file type icons used by Windows for YXDB, YXMC, YXWG, YXMD, YXZP, etc., you can find them in the ICO files located in bin\\RuntimeData\\icons within the Alteryx install directory.

Alternatively, you can generate your own icons using a screenshot in File Explorer with icons set to large and cropping in clippingmagic.com.

I hope this helps!
