I don't think there is, but I was hoping to find a keyboard shortcut for temporarily disabling auto-connection between tools. I've seen a lot of people complain about this because of how it shifts the rest of their flow around. It would be great if, while I'm dragging a new tool around and I want to place it close to another tool without auto-connecting to it, I could hold down a key (Alt, Shift, etc.) so it would remove the dashed line that it's trying to create with auto-connection. To my understanding, you can't even turn off this feature globally which I find very odd.
Any information anyone has would be great. Or if someone could point me to the best way to submit feedback to Alteryx. Thanks!
Hi @vbmike73
You're correct there is no way of switching this behaviour off, only suggestion i could find was zooming out and not placing the tools as close together so they don't auto connect...
It's a great idea though, you can submit ideas here https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Ideas/idb-p/product-ideas but do search to see if it's already been suggested
Will do. Thanks for the reply and for providing the link!
