British Science Week – Virtual Conference for International Women’s Day

Please join us in an Education and Careers focused mini conference to raise aspiration and inspire female minority ethnic engagement in STEM careers.

I will be hosting this series with other Alteryx associates from our UK office, along with STEM education and employment experts. This series of events is aimed at young women from ethnic minority backgrounds who are thinking about a career in STEM. The Cultural Ecology Project (CEP) aims to raise aspiration within technology and innovation, increase community engagement, and help create an infrastructure that supports and empowers women and girls from ethnic minority backgrounds through social enterprise. This project was founded as a direct response to the lack of FAME representation in the STEM sector as experienced by current sector practitioners.

Here is our high-level itinerary:

Mar 5 (Fri), 4.30-5.45PM: Opening/Welcome event + keynote speeches

Mar 8 (Mon), 4.30-6.45PM: Women in STEM Education Seminar, Imposter Syndrome Seminar & Panel and CV/LinkedIn Workshop.

Mar 9 (Tue), 4.30-6.30PM: Alteryx enablement day. (optional)

Mar 10 (Wed), 4.30-6.30PM: ‘Mentor sessions’ with interactive breakout rooms and closing keynote speeches.
