Many companies, such as AT&T, are banding women in higher positions together to involve more women in data science and technical careers. This is great if you are in one of the hub cities or primary locations. Those of us who work for the fabulously huge companies but are not in the hub or primary locations have a hard time getting involved in face to face interaction, hands-on training, networking events and what have you. Being able to connect with other companies and vendors like Alteryx, Tableau and others in face to face interactions would be a huge plus to expand our technical knowledge and improve opportunities for growth and advancement of women in analytics.
