Hello Alteryx community!
I am a professor at CSUF in the accounting department. I will be teaching 70 students the Alteryx platform starting in a few weeks. One of the assignment the students will have is to introduce themselves to the community using the Welcome and Instructions link you provided.
If anyone has great data sources that I can use to show the difference between Alteryx and Excel, I'm all ears.
Please welcome the students (and all of their questions) as the semester unfolds.
Thank you,
April Morris

Hello April,
Welcome to the Community first off!
As for your comparison between Alteryx and Excel, I would recommend searching the community for "Excel" as there are a number of articles posted which can help you!
I would start with the below articles.

Hope this helps!

hi @apmorris welcome! So cool to see all your students signing up for Community.
A great resource to start with is one of our Interactive Lessons on Alteryx Academy, Alteryx for Excel Users, which includes examples of how to use the favorites tools specifically in ways relatable to people coming from other softwares.
Happy Alteryx-ing!

Hi Criston:
Yes, my students will be taking the Alteryx for Excel Users (starting this week), and my Master students will be completing the Alteryx Certification as part of their coursework.
It's a great tool, and I know they'll use it alot!
