Here is my solution!
Done (annoyed that I didn't start completing these challenges until after the data was culled, ha! I'll challenge myself to pull in new data :)

I created tables and used a visual layout so I could see the output of both tasks in the same place, it's not lovely, but it's lovelier than a multiple join (I think). I also had to subtract one from the date formula to match the results in the solution.... which does make sense so we're looking at between, but I wonder if there's not a better way to do that.
