Thank you @RolandSchubert for sharing your solution! I didn't know the formula to add the weekday and month (ToNumber(DateTimeFormat([dt], '%u' and  '%m' )) and the ability to give record ID grouped by Month. Definitely made your workflow a lot more efficient than mine!

I feel like I do something similar to this so often that I should just build a group by recordID macro and stop doing backwards ways to get what I need. Fun challenge though!

Solved! I LOVE the Group By in the RecordID Tool 

 

I once worked at a (very large, public, US based) company where they set workdays = calendar days. If the 1st was a Saturday, when I would go in on Monday the 3rd, they would be screaming at me for being 2 days behind on Close since I hadn't done any of the Day 1 or Day 2 tasks .... and "it was the weekend" wasn't a valid excuse. Good times....
