As Halloween approaches, we have a fun and festive challenge submitted by our esteemed user Nathan Purvis (@DataNath). Thank you, Nathan, for this sweet challenge!
With the holiday rush coming, a candy manufacturing company needs your help. Your task is to create a comprehensive final report with graphs that answer two key questions:
- What are the five most popular Halloween chocolate candies, in order by win percentage?
- Which candies require the most ingredients? (The ingredient values are chocolate, fruity, caramel, peanutyalmondy, nougat, and crispedricewafer.)
The dataset provided is based on a survey of over 250,000 respondents to determine the most popular Halloween candy. To collect the data, a website was created where participants were shown two fun-sized candies and asked to select the one they would prefer to receive. Here are some key details:
- All binary fields in the dataset are coded as 1 = yes, 0 = no (for example, chocolate = 1 means the candy contains chocolate; pluribus = 0 means it is a single item rather than multiple items in a bag or box).
- Sugarpercent represents the percentile of sugar content for each candy.
- Pricepercent indicates the unit price percentile compared to other candies.
- Winpercent shows the overall win percentage of each candy in all matchups.
