I dunno, I haven't looked at any other solutions yet, but seems I made this way more complicated with more tools than I needed. Expecting that most core/basic challenges are pretty easy I kept thinking I had to be missing something and making it harder than needed. This seems much more of an Intermediate challenge than beginner IMHO.
All that said, it was a fun challenge though. Finally just surrendered and solved it and gave up on Alteryx golf.
