Solution attached. For #1, I initially interpreted it as looking for any country with 2 unique days for New Year - which includes 1) A country with New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, since they're both New Year related and 2) A country with 2 days throughout the year (like China). I think the phrasing of the question is a little ambiguous :)
