This challenge was driving me crazy because I was struggling to match the numbers I was seeing! In the end, although I was able to match their numbers I decided to visualize the distinct number of women who participated in each year because that felt less misleading than showing the number of distinct women per sport per year (which is what I think was originally being visualized but am still not sure). That and the data blowing up on the join made this challenge tough for me but it is good when it has you thinking.
Révélation
I did not like this challenge. Obviously there was some intentional duplication - say a woman won multiple swimming medals - but i think the way this challenge was worded was not conducive to actually learning something about a circumstance about this.
