Answer created their total column via a formula (I guess) as if a null was present, this forces the total to be null (formula tool behaviour unlike crosstab/summarise). A tad annoying! The Age calculation was also interesting to figure out, I assumed the date to be the start of the event.

Not an Olympic challenge completion time for me!

Fun & quick challenge!  I was able to avoid the "null" issues using the summarize tool & counts (did a formula to create "tag" columns for female vs. male athletes).

Completed! Then I had a thought: The smallest teams were countries that only sent two athletes- what's the smallest team that actually brought home a medal? So to satisfy my own curiosity I did a little bonus analysis and found the answer:
