It is interesting challenge!

My first try to a weekly challenge. My crescents look better than the gibbous, but a good try nonetheless.

Ended up taking me ages, got there in the end and really enjoyable task

I'm sure there is a simpler way to do this. Looking forward to checking out other solutions.

I really wanted to get the curves right so I did a bit of math to figure out the proper shape for the mask for the crescent and gibbous. I was a bit lazy and didn't put the calcs in the workflow, just used the mask offset and radius ratios that I calculated manually.

This challenge really stretched me, I don't often work with spatial data.
