Mostly match the new solution -- some differences in the total time (it seems the solution given calculates the minutes for each segment, instead of calculating the difference in seconds and converting to minutes after aggregation)

OK, so to match the times in the solution.......

you need to calculate the time blocks that someone is on the road, so the difference between time from point 1 to 2, point 2 to 3, and so forth. The problem with doing this is you lose one minute along the way as many of us have discovered. This solution gets you a matching one though:

Here's what I think captures the actual time on the road more accurately.....

by simply calculating the difference between time 1 and time 6 in a formula tool first, then transposing to find the segments, matching with a join, and summarizing
