Challenge #189: Billboard Top 100

Nothing makes you feel quite as nostalgic as hearing a song you haven't heard in a while. That's probably why Billboard magazine has been publishing their "Hot 100" list since 1958. If you aren't familiar, the "Hot 100" list ranks the top 100 singles in the US each year. It can be pretty fun to read through, but let's take a look at who dominated the decades.

This challenge's dataset includes rankings from 1965-2015. Determine which artist(s) created the most top 100 hits in each decade. Then, try the same but with top 10 rankings.

Preferred creating a solution that contained the full decade alias (e.g., "1960s") so that the 2000s and 2010s weren't the top two records, followed by 60s, 70s, etc. This way the records follow logically by the dates of the decades.

According to the Rock Music Timeline web site (http://www.rockmusictimeline.com/1960s.html), The Beatles had three top 10 singles in the 60's, but this challenge's data set starts at 1965 so it misses "I Want to Hold Your Hand" which hit the top 10 in 1964. And as far as MJ, Thriller was the #1 album of the decade, but the song itself was only #95 for the decade. In other words, The Beatles (and Elvis) were successful on both the album and singles charts in the 60's, but MJ ruled the 80's album charts only.Odd but true.
