Challenge #121: World Cup 2018!

Let the games begin…the World Cup games, that is! For this Week’s Challenge, we’re going to list the scheduled matches for the 2018 World Cup. Create a workflow to parse the input data to create a sorted list (by date) of the scheduled matches and their locations, as well as the host stadium’s capacity of cheering fans. There’s plenty of room for creativity with this one, from reporting to app building, so feel free to make it your own!

I had to time box this one, practicing for the certification exams, for some crazy reason, my RegEx ^\d* worked on all but the parse choice so, I took the lengthy text to columns path. My not elegant but correct solution.

Had fun with this one! Started down my usual path of removing null rows, assigning a record ID, and using Make Columns, but decided that @NicoleJohnson and I shouldn't be using the same methods week after week. So, went down another path.

7 tools. Added in @MarqueeCrew's checking tool to verify my solution. Thanks Mark!

I would like to include the images in a lovely report, but I'm struggling with some of them not downloading correctly. TBC when I get those all working. But for now....

Mine feels a little messy, there are loads of text to column tools used here and I'm sure it's not the most efficient. I really struggle with Parsing and RegEx. But I got there in the end.
