I went with a basic batch macro that reads in the full path and consolidates data from each file.

Had this exact problem at my old job. Lots of files, though all the same schema, with varying filenames. Macros for the win.

Solved. What was strange was I had the macro built fine but it was still only picking up File1 when I ran it in the main yxmd file. I created a new yxmd file, put in a new Directory Input Tool, added the macro there, and it worked fine. It took me awhile to figure that out.

Got there in the end, as took a while to get my head round.

 

Alos, it was another workflows that needed the AMP Engine switched on
