Had to come back to this one after refreshing on some spatial tools. Good exercise though!

These always stump me (I'm practicing for the Expert exam currently). I once again tried to calculate the exact X,Y of the new start and end points...which I KNOW IS POSSIBLE but finally gave up and got creative.

So, I identified the region that the theoretical new X,Y points would be (about 5 miles from the start and end point of the original line) by building a 'donut' trade area and then putting it into grids (I tried a normal trade area and breaking that into points but it didnt get close enough for my liking). Then, once I had the closes grid within that donut, I found its centroid and made that my new end point and start point and connected those lines.
