Great Challenge! I opted to use a Regex_Match, Unique, and Join in order to appoint those cities' missing states as mentioned.

There's a little trick to this one. New York City is not in the answer but should be giving 48 Cities. NYC has 5 teams but does not span the 5 leagues (NBA x 2, NHL x 2, MLB).
